My Perfect Eyes Review

The product contains sodium silicate, magnesium aluminium silicate, polypropylene glycol, methylparaben, propylparabem and iron oxide. It works, according to the manufacturers, by forming an ‘invisible’ web under the eye which tightens and camouflages wrinkles, dark shadows and puffiness.

Although a quite expensive product, I tried My Perfect Eyes having seen all about it on their TV ad. The product was used exactly as it was stated to do so on its enclosed instructions, that is:

"It must be applied to clean dry skin so that means no make-up, moisturizers, traces of cleansers, eye creams, absolutely nothing. Give the bottle a little shake, if it ever comes out a bit gritty you just need to put the lid on and give it another shake, otherwise that can make it turn white on your skin. Swipe the included wand on the back of your hand and get about a pea size amount, that will be enough for both eyes. Start on the inside corner and sweep it out. Don’t dab it on like you would an eye cream. You need to sweep this on and cover the whole under eye area, right up to your lash line and feather it down on to your cheek bone. Now look straight ahead. If you look off to the side or down then it’s going to dry with creases in it. So stare right ahead. Now you can gently fan it. Remember how it dries is how it is going to stay".

And so as said above, the My Perfect Eyes product was used exactly as per instructed. Unfortunately, after just one use, it left the skin around my eyes sore and even more puffy than it was before ever using this product. And the soreness created a look of more wrinkles. It was also very uncomfortable while on the skin (like having dried egg white under your eyes). This uncomfortable feeling doesn't wear off. It also leaves a white residue on the skin, even though it was well shaken and without any gritty feel to the product when being used.

This product was purchased through PayPal and has been returned under the My Perfect Eyes "full no quibble 30 day money back guarantee", which they have fully complied with, including its shipping cost. But although having said that, on their website they say nothing about this product being capable of making the delicate skin under the eye area sore, more puffy and thus giving an increased wrinkly appearance, which should be at least clearly stated as being a possibility. You would then be able to make a more informed choice of whether or not to purchase this product.

Pros:
  • The product will temporarily disguise, for a number of set hours, the appearance of eye bags and wrinkles.
  • This is only my personal experience with this product, it could work better on your skin than it did on mine.
  • They did give a full no quibble refund through PayPal for the product including the shipping cost, (PayPal is the best method to use to pay for this product as it makes the refund process so much easier).

Cons:
  • The temporary beneficial effect of the product does not out-weigh its non-beneficial after effect of soreness to the delicate skin area under the eyes, thus causing a more wrinkly appearance and more puffiness.
  • I would not have been tempted to use the product more than the one time that I did.
  • It's quite expensive, even on its offer price.
  • The returned shipping cost was £4.45, which of course is not refundable.
Conclusion:  All in all my personal experience with this product has not been a good one.
